How To Stop Gambling Tip #5 Eat Well and Exercise

How To Stop Gambling Tip #5

This is the continuation in my series of tips on how to stop gambling. Just to review, here

are the first five tips on how to stop gambling:

1. Decide that you want to stop gambling after admitting that you do indeed have a gambling

problem and that it has disrupted your life.

2. Each day you wake up, make a decision on that given day that you will not gamble, since

you already made a decision to quit gambling.

3. Plan your day around your decision to stopping gambling. Make sure that you plan your

schedule in 15 minute increments as this really does help.

4. Join a support group such as Gamblers Anonymous to help you on your mission to continue to

quit gambling.

Tip #5, as one of your solutions to stop gambling is as follows:

Embark in a good health and nutrition program in addition to a good exercise plan. Commit to

good eating and exercise daily as this will not only help your physical health, but will

improve your mood as well.

When we eat nutritious foods and exercise, we are showing ourselves that we care about our

health. When we care about our health we will be more apt to do things that are good for us

and not destructive and harmful.

When you quit gambling it may be hard to suddenly jump into a really strong nutrition and

exercise plan.

My suggestion to you is to make small changes in your eating and exercise behavior on a daily

basis. For example, add a salad to your lunch and try to eliminate the fast foods you were

consuming daily.

You can even try to add a daily walk to your routine.. even if it is only 5 minutes. You can

then increase this over time.

When you stop gambling, replacing unhealthy behaviors of eating and lack of exercise will

provide a great benefit to you.

After you quit gambling, you will see that better eating and an exercise plan will contribute

positively to your health.

As stated previously, as you do good things for yourself, you will be less apt to do harmful

and destructive things like gambling.

This will most certainly help keep you focuses on your decision to change your life by stop

gambling.

How to Stop Gambling Tips: Part 2

How to Stop Gambling Tips: Part 2

The first how to stop gambling tip was deciding whether or not you want to stop gambling.

There are many solutions to stop gambling and self-help books on how to stop gambling. This

does not matter, however, if you have not decided whether or not you want to stop.

You must make the decision to stop gambling before you actually look for ways to stop

gambling. As stated previously, if you do not do this, it will be an exercise in futility.

The second tip on how to quit gambling is the following:Tell yourself when you wake up in the

morning that you will not gamble on that given day. If this is too hard to do, tell yourself

that you will not gamble one hour at a time.. or even one minute at a time.

You really must make this decision first thing in the morning. Write it down on paper, or

even meditate on this. This is crucial because even though you made a decision to stop

gambling, you must be able to act out the behavior of not gambling on a daily basis.

When you wake up in the morning, before breakfast, tell yourself that you will not gamble.

Make this promise to yourself, because once you decide this your day will be easier, and you

will not have as many urges.

Doing this is going to be harder for you in the beginning, however this will become easier

once you are away from gambling for a longer period of time.

Remember that self help to stop gambling is not a replacement for professional counseling or

even 12 Step meetings for Gamblers Anonymous.

Many of you may need professional assistance to help you quit gambling, and this is not a bad

thing. If you are looking for additional self help to stop gambling resources, Stop2Gambling

is a program that you may want to take a look at. In addition, 111 Tips To Beat Your Gambling
